XPO continues its rise in the Los Angeles Business Journal’s list of top Women-Owned Businesses in Los Angeles. Moving up from its ranking last year, “The List” ranked XPO the 23rd largest for all types of businesses. XPO grew at a rate of 29%, more than three times the 8% average of the top 100’s growth rate, making them the sixth fastest growing company on this elite list. “The List” rankings were based on 2008 revenues compared to 2007. To qualify, companies must be at least 50% women-owned. XPO was founded in 2003, primarily by a group of women, who were industry veterans searching for alternative mailing solutions to what was then currently available. Within the business category of mailing and logistics, XPO is one of the largest women-owned businesses in the world.
